Economic
The differences of the economic between the 13 colonies and the Hong Kong colony were the 13 colonies did not free in trade, however the Hong Kong colony was free in trade. Britain also helped Hong Kong to develop their own development economic but the 13 colonies didn't. There wasn't have the similarity in economic.
Political
The differences of political between the 13 colonies and the Hong Kong colony were Hong Kong no need to pay for tax but the 13 colonies needed to. The rules in Hong Kong were also relatively much fair than the 13 colonies. There were three similarities between them. First, they both had a governor and local council. Second, they both didn't have representation of their own. Finally, no armies were built by colonies.

Nice job, Hilda; your last point earned you full marks. Neither Hong Kong nor the 13 Colonies had standing armies, though there were militias in America as there were, I suspect, in Hong Kong.
